PROBLEM DEFINITION
One of the fastest growing industries now a day is mobile industry. There are
many competitors in this area who are doing research and development on new
platforms & user experience. One such technology is Android from Google
which is supported for many manufactured phones. One of the fastest growing
industries now a day is mobile industry. There are many competitors in this
area who are doing research and development on new platforms & user
experience. One such technology is Android from Google which is supported for
many manufactured phones. These phones are described as next Generation mobiles
[As described by Google].
This project word edifice is mobile software using which one
can enhance their vocabulary. It’s like a word gaming come software, which
emphasis on providing the words based on the last alphabet of word given as
input. The words given by our software or application will be speaked out by
the application itself. One more beautiful feature of our application is that
we can give the input directly by speaking through the application.
1.2Existing System:
We will have dictionary tool in the android mobile, in which
will get list of words. Based on the search criteria will find the particular
words with meanings. But we don’t have a game or particular application in
android to provide vocabulary and pronunciation as a game.
1.3Proposed System:
In our
proposed application, we are using text to speech and speech to text techniques
to provide vocabulary based on input and pronunciation for the generated word.
User will be giving the input to this gaming app, by speaking out the word know
to him , based on the first and last alphabet of the speaked out word, our app
will generate a word along with the meaning, which in turn pronounced by the
app itself. The word generated once will not be repeated in our app.

SCOPE OF PROJECT
Our project aims
to build this information system in a Mobile phone using the latest technology
in the market namely Google Android SDK ..
This application can be used who are
willing to learn vocabulary without using books, materials and coaching from
others because this application interacts with user. If user speaks any known
word in English then application gives a new word to the user with a first and
last alphabet of user word. The user can able to hear the pronunciation of that
new word and description of new word.
