Voice Based Search Engine on Android

Internet has brought about an incredible improvement in human access to knowledge and information. Voice browsers allow people to access the Web using speech synthesis, pre-recorded audio, and speech recognition. This can be supplemented by keypads and small displays. Generally Voice search, also called open-domain question answering systems, allows the user to use a voice command to search the Internet, or a portable device, Given that voice-based systems are interactive and often involving several rounds of interaction that allows a system to ask for clarification.

1.1 Purpose:

·        The application Developing speech based searching app on Mobile is developed for mobile users equipped with a smart phone - after users install and activate the Voice-based search client application.

·        The main aim of the application is user can give any search request such as information, images or books through voice commands which are processed by the app to displays results and finally, the selected result i.e. info by the user will be vocalized by application.

1.1.1 Scope:

·        Using this application user can search various categories such as information, images and books.

·        Here during search, input given by the user will be a voice command which will be processed by the application and converts it into text and then searches accordingly, finally the application generates vocal output according to the user selection (text to voice conversion).

1.2 Existing System:

In the existing system generally the user will browse plenty of websites using their mobile, but user has the read the information and at certain point of time the user gets interminable.

1.3 Proposed System:

In the proposed system we are developing an application which will convert the voice to text and searches accordingly, the result is converted into voice. The main aim of the app is user can give any search request such as information, images or books through voice commands which are processed by the app to displays results and finally, the selected result i.e. info by the user will be vocalized by application.

1.4 Application, Objective and Benefits:

Application:

·  The application will be utilized by the Users.

Goal:

·  The Goal of the application is to provide notifications to the user whenever his/her friend/friends-friend is passing nearby him her. The Default distance is 100m, assumed our application runs on Wi-Fi network.

·  This application provides the list of friends who are there in User Facebook account if at all the User provides sufficient amount of privileges.

Objective:

Design is the first step in moving from problem domain to solution domain. Design is essentially the bridge between requirements specification and the final solution.

The goal of design process is to produce a model or representation of a system can be used later to build that system. The produced model is called the ‘Design of the System’.
